IV Stage IV

Discovering Your Call

You are still walking. But now something specific has begun to press.

There is a moment in every walk with God when a new kind of question begins to rise.

Not—am I saved.

Not—am I growing.

But—what have I been placed here for?

It is not curiosity. It is not restlessness.

It is the sense that you were not made in general. You were made for something specific.

And that specific thing has begun to press against your thoughts, your conversations, the way you listen, the things that move you when others are unmoved.

It is not yet clear. But it is real.

There is a great deal of confusion around this word.

Calling is not ambition.

Calling is not the thing you are most talented at.

Calling is not the thing that will make your name known.

Calling is recognition of what has already been placed in you.

Before you were formed, something was assigned to you. A design. A weight. A specific alignment with the purpose of God in the earth.

You did not choose it.

You are not creating it.

You are discovering it—because it is already there.

Many people mistake stirring for clarity.

They feel something rise within them, and they rush toward it. They take the first opportunity that looks like it. They name a thing quickly and build their life on that naming.

And sometimes they are right.

But often, they are moving before they have been shown.

This stage is not here to rush you.

It is here to slow you down enough to see.

Because calling is not self-declared.

Calling is confirmed.

There is something about calling that cannot be discovered in isolation.

You can sense it alone. You can suspect it alone. You can even feel certain about it alone.

But you cannot be established in it alone.

The One who placed it in you also placed others in the earth to confirm it.

Fathers who can see.

Mothers who can name.

Those who have walked the road before you.

They do not give you your calling.

They recognize it.

And their recognition settles what your sensing alone cannot.

There is a difference between sensing and being sent.

Sensing is private.

Being sent is witnessed.

Many remain at sensing for years because they never enter a place where sending can happen.

They hear. They feel. They dream. They are sure.

But they are never positioned to be formed and released.

That is not a failure of their calling.

It is an absence of guidance.

Guidance is not control.

Guidance is not someone telling you what you already know.

Guidance is the safe place where what is rising in you can be tested, refined, named, and released.

It means being near enough to people of the Kingdom that they can speak into what they see.

It means being teachable without defending yourself.

It means being willing to be shaped before you are sent.

This is not optional. It is the pattern.

At this stage, three postures are worth naming.

Be honest with what is stirring in you. Do not pretend you are not sensing anything.

Be teachable. What you are sensing is real, but your understanding of it is still forming.

Be near those who live what you feel drawn toward. You do not come into calling in a vacuum.

From here, what comes next is not a leap.

It is an entering.

You are not inventing your calling.

You are preparing to be recognized in it.

And that happens in the places that have been set up to receive you.

Now it is time to be placed.

The pathways ahead

If what is stirring in you is real, these are the places where it can be formed, confirmed, and released.
